What is UV-C and how does it work?


Our innovative UV-C LED technology built into the cap of your LUVE Bottle emits UV light which is optimized in the 280 nanometer spectrum, which makes it germicidal. The light will kill 99.99% of all bacteria and viruses by being absorbed deep into their DNA, making it impossible for them to reproduce and spread, making the water safe and pure. Is my LUVE bottle safe?


Absolutely! UV-C light does not stay in the water and is 100% safe to drink. The bottle also is armed with a safety mode, which means unless the lid is tightly secured, the light will not activate. If you unscrew the lid during a sterilization cycle the sterilization cycle will automatically stop and the light will turn off.




Does my LUVE bottle remove heavy metals and chemicals such as Fluoride from the water?


Unfortunately not, however it does eradicate 99.99% of harmful bacteria and viruses such as E-Coli and salmonella. It will also make sure your bottle keeps clean and safe too!




How do I activate the sterilization cycle?


Make sure the lid is tightened and press and hold the touch switch on the top of the lid for 2 seconds. The green light will appear and stay lit for 90 seconds. Once the light goes off, your bottle is clean and your water is pure.




How do I activate self-clean mode?


Make sure the lid is tightened and tap the touch switch on top of the lid twice. The purple light will flicker which means self-clean mode is activated. The bottle will self-clean automatically every 6 hours. The purple light will flicker frequently to remind you that self-clean mode is activated. Press the lid twice again to deactivate.




Does my LUVE bottle keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold?


Yes! It is double wall vacuum sealed so it will keep your hot drinks hot for 12 hours and cold drinks cold for 24!




Will my LUVE bottle purify stream/lake/river water?


It does not have a filter so it won't remove sand/stones etc. It will kill 99.99% of bacteria and viruses but it's recommend only to use water from a healthy source that’s clear to the eye.




How do I charge my LUVE bottle?


Each bottle comes with a micro USB charging cable. Plug the cable into the head of a usb charging interface. The charging portal is underneath the waterproof silicone plug on the lid of the bottle.




Can I use other drinks in my LUVE bottle?


It’s a self-cleaning water bottle, so designed to work with water. You can use other drinks like sodas, juices etc, however you will need to manually clean the bottle with warm soapy water after use (please do not put the bottle in the dishwasher)!




Do I ever have to clean my LUVE bottle ?


Apart from a quick wash before first use, you should never have to clean the bottle yourself if you are only using it for water. The technology kills bacteria that makes your bottle smell funky, making sure you have clean water and a sparkly clean bottle at all times.




Is my LUVE bottle waterproof?


Yes! Its IPX7 waterproof.




Can I take my LUVE bottle on a plane?


Yes! But only in your hand luggage as the bottle has a Li-Polymer battery which cannot be checked in.




What material is my LUVE bottle?


It is food grade BPA free stainless steel finished with a luxurious propriety powder paint coating which won’t fade!




Does my LUVE bottle have a warranty?


Yes. Each bottle comes with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty (12 months from purchase date from website or authorised retailer). Warranty will NOT cover product damage caused by improper use, aging and general wear and tear and defects that have little impact on the product or function of the bottle. The warranty is also void if repairs are attempted by an unauthorized 3rd party. If the product needs to be repaired within the warranty period please contact us at contact@luvebottle.com




Can I return my LUVE bottle?


Yes, you can return an unloved/unused LUVE bottle but it must be in its original packaging and returned within 30 days of receipt. Please email contact@luvebottle.com and someone will be in touch to assist with the procedure. Please note, if the product fails our inspection you will not receive a refund.




Can I corporate brand a LUVE Bottle?


Yes! We can remove our logo and replace it with yours or we can supply you with a logo-less bottle (but please note it will still have a small website print on the bottom). Please contact us at contact@luvebottle.com for further details.




How long will my LUVE Bottle last?


The UV-C LED is designed to last over 10,000 hours.. based on you using the sterilsation cycle twice a day it should last you almost 10 years! The bottle itself is made with premium materials and finished with a luxury powder paint finish which is designed not to fade.




Why does the LUVE bottle cost more than other water bottles?


The LUVE bottle is not your average water bottle. It is produced with the best quality materials and fitted with the latest UV-C technology, which essentially makes it a portable water purifier. The life expectancy of the brilliant LED is 10 years +. If you compare the LUVE bottle with other similar brands, you'll see we offer great value for money! (you also don't need to keep purchasing filters!)




What does the red flashing light on my LUVE bottle mean?


This means the touch pad is locked to stop you from accidentally activating cycles. Just press and hold the touch pad switch for 5 seconds to unlock. (please note this is a function on bottles ordered after 1st March only)




What is Blitz Mode?


Blitz mode is a functionality on the most recent model of LUVE bottles (ordered after March 1st 2021) which activates a 3 minute sterilisation cycle for those water sources you feel need some extra purification. To activate this, just tap the touch switch twice and the purple light indicates Blitz mode is in progress
